POMONA, Calif. – The latest student-athlete to join the nationally-recognized Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball program is Jordyn Shane. A senior at Victor Valley High School in Victorville, Calif. the 5-foot-7 guard will be a welcome addition to the Broncos' roster.

Danelle Bishop announced the signing of Shane on Tuesday.
"Jordyn is extremely athletic and can get to the rim," said Bishop. "She is a great student and person and fits the CPP philosophy."
In her time at Victor Valley, Shane has earned accolades for her feats both on and off the court. She earned multiple Most Valuable Player awards, including MVP of her team, multiple tournaments and top honors in the Desert Sky League her junior year. She also excels in the classroom as she has received a spot on the Honor Roll each of her years at Victor Valley.
In the 2013-14 season as a junior, Shane played in 20 games, where she averaged 16.5 points and 6.4 assists per game. On the defensive end, Jordyn collected an average of 3.1 rebounds and three steals per contest. She helped the Jackrabbits carry a 17-5 record through the season, which included a 12-3 mark in league. The Jackrabbits finished their season in the CIF Southern Section Girls Basketball Playoffs.
Shane enjoys editing videos and playing video games in her spare time and will be majoring in Graphic Design. She aspires to continue into the editing and producing field.
Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball will play its next contest on Dec. 21 at 2 p.m., as they travel to RIMAC Arena in La Jolla, Calif., to take on the UC San Diego Tritons.
In November, Bishop announced the signing of Monay Mariscal from Dobson High School in Phoenix.
