@CPPXCTF Set to Host Green & Gold Meet

POMONA, Calif. - The Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's track and field teams will host their annual Green and Gold meet on Saturday, Feb. 6 at Kellogg Field. The meet marks the unofficial start to the 2016 season.
 
The participants in the meet will include current and former Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes in the sports of cross country and track and field.
 
Field events will kick off the event at 9 a.m. with javelin being the first event of the day. Discus, long jump and pole vault (current athletes only) will follow the javelin event.
 
Running events will start at 9:30 a.m. beginning with the 1,600-meter event. Other running events include the 60-meter dash, hurdles, 150-meter, the distance medley relay and the 4x200 relay. All running events will be on a rolling schedule.
 
A barbecue will follow the conclusion of the event for all participants. If attending, please send in your entry and RSVP to Pamela Donnelly via e-mail at pldonnelly@cpp.edu or via phone at (909) 869-2828.
 
Entries are accepted on the day of the event.
CPP's first official meet of 2016 will be at the Collegiate All-Comers Invite hosted by Pomona Pitzer on Saturday, Feb. 20 at Strehle Track in Claremont.
