With Ryan Carrell leading the way, the Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country team put together a strong showing at Saturday's Stanford Invitational. In a slower and tougher race than last week's season opener in Riverside, the CPP runners raced through the rolling hills of the Stanford Golf Course Saturday across 8,000 meters. Despite the trickier setting, the time of 24:48 turned in by Carrell didn't prove to be much different.
