With sophomore guard Ariel Marsh lighting up the scoreboard for 31 points on 12-for-14 shooting, the 11th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team topped the defending NAIA champs Azusa Pacific Thursday, 82-69.

Marsh, a Chino Hills, Calif., native, sunk seven three-pointers in her eight attempts while playing 27 minutes off the bench. The mark of seven is just one shy of the program record for three-pointers made in a game, as Elizabeth Edmond fired in eight during a 1997 game.
