In the early afternoon, the Broncos' 4x100 relay team of Sam Morales, James Weiner, Tanner Terry and Jacob Deavers placed first with a time of 41.76. It represented the top 2012 mark for CPP in that event and fell just 0.56 short of a provisional.

Deavers, a 2011 NCAA All-American, also shined in the 400-meter hurdles race Saturday. He crossed the line in 53.20 to take first in the heat and improve the "B" provisional he set earlier this month at Cerritos College.
