Cal Poly Pomona topped Cal State San Bernardino Friday, 1-0, to secure the team's first conference win of 2013. It also marked the program's first road win in San Bernardino since 2007 and the Broncos' first shutout there since 1999.

Freshman Mathew Perez knocked in a penalty kick at the 55:25 mark and that proved to be the game-winning goal, ending the Coyotes' school-record shutout streak at 638 minutes. It handed CSUSB its first loss of 2013 as well with the Coyotes now 4-1-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play.
