Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Junior middle blocker Lauren Jones led the Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team to a pair of four-set home wins this past week as the Broncos defeated Chico State and Cal State Stanislaus.

Jones totaled 27 kills through the two matches while averaging 3.38 kills per set. She also added six blocks, four of which came on Thursday against Chico. On Saturday versus Cal State Stanislaus, Jones posted a season-best hitting percentage of .500.

Jones and the Broncos will return to action Wednesday with a 7 p.m. home matchup against Humboldt State. CPP has won four of its last five matches.
