Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Senior outfielder David Armendariz led the Cal Poly Pomona baseball team to four wins last week as the Broncos improved to 6-0 on the season. A Granada Hills native, Armendariz went 7-for-17 through the four games while posting an on-base percentage of .421 and slugging .647. He scored five runs and collected six runs batted in. In Sunday's 6-5 extra-innning win over Dixie State, Armendariz knocked a two-run homer to help give CPP its first lead.

With his help, the Broncos finished a three-game sweep of Point Loma Nazarene on Monday and then went 3-0 against Dixie this past weekend. The Broncos will return to action Friday when they open conference play against Cal State Monterey Bay.
