Sophomore lefthander Max Bethell turned in a dominating performance Saturday at Scolinos Field, leading the nationally-ranked Cal Poly Pomona baseball team to a 6-0 win over Cal State L.A. Bethell tossed his first complete-game shutout of his career, allowing just three hits and striking out three.
Bethell and the Broncos return to action Friday as they begin a four-game series at Cal State East Bay.
