Senior outfielder David Armendariz put together a pair of strong performances last week at the West Regional in La Jolla. During the Friday game against UC San Diego, he went 3-for-4 with three runs batted in. That performance included a homerun, his 10th blast of the 2014 campaign. His other two hits on Friday versus UCSD were doubles, raising his season total in that category to 19. Also last week, Armendariz received selection as the West Region Player of the Year.
