The Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's cross country teams turned in a dominating performance Saturday at the Coyote Classic, taking first place in both races.
In the women's 6,000-meter event, Lizette Huerta finished first after crossing the line in 22:35.8. Two more Broncos placed within the top 10, including Calene Morris in fourth at 23:05.6 and Nicole Sroczynski at 23:23.7.
CPP totaled 27 points, well in front of host Cal State San Bernardino in second place. Two other California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) programs also raced at the Coyotes Classic Saturday: Cal State East Bay and Cal State L.A.
