With nearly 100 Bronco fans in attendance, the Cal Poly Pomona men's and women's cross country teams put together a strong showing at the Pomona Pitzer Invite on Saturday morning.

The Broncos' men's cross country squad finished in a tie for second place with Cal State San Marcos, as both teams totaled 70 points to trail only the host Pomona Pitzer. Sixteen schools competed in the men's 8,000-meter event.

In the men's 8,000-meter race Saturday, four CPP runners finished within the top 20 individually. Junior John Dominguez proved to be the Broncos' top finisher, taking fourth with a time of 25:33.8.
