En route to the Broncos’ two wins on the weekend of Jan 9-10, Jada Blackwell secured a pair solid performances, complete with two double-doubles. CPP defeated San Francisco State 80-43 on Friday then turned around and bested Sonoma State 80-56 on Saturday.
Friday’s contest saw Blackwell earn her first of two double-doubles in as many days. A 5-for-11 performance gave the senior 11 points, and she split her rebounds at five offensives and five defensives to collect 10. She also tacked on a steal for good measure.
Saturday, the Rancho Cucamonga native showed her colors. As the Broncos defeated the Seawolves 80-56, a 7-for-11 tally from the field, complete with a pair of three pointers and five free throws, gave Blackwell 21 points. Her 12 boards gave her the second double-double of the week, and she also provided CPP with a couple steals and three blocks.
The Broncos now hold a 7-1 tally in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) and a 9-3 overall mark.
