Rodger Mantor placed first in the pole vault event on Saturday at the Mangrum Invitational in San Marcos, setting a personal best with a 16-10 mark that puts him at No. 2 all-time for the Broncos. Clearing that height also dramatically improves Mantor's chances of competing at the NCAA Division II National Championships, where he could join teammate and fellow pole vaulter Justin Ellerbee. A junior from Simi Valley, Mantor transferred in from Moorpark College.
