Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Michael Zidek, the No. 18 Cal Poly Pomona Broncos’ right fielder, came in clutch for CPP during the weekend sweep against Cal State LA. Through his 11 at bats he earned four hits, including his first homerun of the season. His eye was tested and he came out on top as he also racked up seven walks in the series and struck out just one time.
 
He led the Broncos with five runs batted in and added four runs himself. He ended the weekend with an on base percentage of .636. In right field he had nine putouts. His walks vaulted him to second on the Green and Gold’s roster in the category.
