Mike Philp, after a stellar performance at the NCAA Division II College World Series was named to the All-Tournament team for the event. His 7-for-19 performance at the plate gave him a .368 average complete with three homeruns and three doubles.
 
His three homeruns were his first three of the season and helped him en route to six runs scored and eight runs batted in. He boasted a 1.000 slugging percentage through the Broncos’ five games against the top teams in the country.
 
At first base he was flawless, earning 44 putouts and making zero errors in the field. CPP finished their season in the semifinal round of the CWS and posted the highest win tally in program history, with an overall 46-17 record.
