In Monso’s debut week as a Bronco he made his impression as the Green and Gold’s offensive standout. In the season opener against the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds, Monso posted an assist on the game’s first goal, then in the second half provided CPP with a goal himself. His goal was the go-ahead goal at the time but the Sunbirds were able to score again, sending the game to overtime and an eventual 2-2 tie. 

Saturday’s contest against the Sea Lions of Point Loma saw Monso score again. With the clock reading a total time of 85:53, the Barcelona native took advantage of a gap in the crowd fighting for control of the ball in front of the Sea Lions’ goal and with a bicycle kick was able to score the game’s lone goal. Monso’s stats for week one were two goals and one assist, making for a total of five points
