For the second time in the past three seasons, the Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country team has secured a top-10 finish at Nationals. On Saturday, the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships were held in Joplin, Mo., and the CPP squad secured a ninth-place finish.

Second on CPP's list of seven runners was Francisco Gomez. With his 40th-place finish, the Broncos' senior earned himself an All-American honor. With his pace just seconds behind Huizar, the Fontana native ran a 30:29.60 in the event and provided the Green and Gold with 30 points.
