Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Kimberly Schaefer, a sophomore for the Broncos track and field team in 2016 has been named a Bronco Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of Aug. 8-15. Her selection comes as a result of her performance in the classroom during the 2015-16 academic year. 

Schaefer, a botany major, from Vancouver, Wash. recorded a 3.90 GPA over the course of her sophomore campaign as a Bronco. She aspires to one day work in a lab that genetically engineers plants to solve world hunger problems.
