Cal Poly Pomona Athletics

Through the season’s first two weeks, Jordan Whitman has made a smooth transition from being a pitcher to playing as an outfielder. The sophomore is second among regulars in hitting, with a .391 average, and has yet to commit an error in 2011. This past week, he went 4-for-7 at the plate in helping the Cal Poly Pomona baseball team to two wins against Vanguard. Whitman collected two runs and one run batted in between the two contests versus the Lions. The Broncos now stand at 6-0 overall in the 2011 campaign.
