Reyana Colson enters her third season in 2014-15 as an assistant coach on the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball staff. With the help of Colson's coaching, the Broncos reached the Final Four in 2014.

At the NCAA D-II Women's Basketball Elite Eight in Erie, Pa., All-American Jada Blackwell earned a spot on the All-Tournament team after guiding CPP to its first Elite Eight win since 2002. Head coach Danelle Bishop was also named the CCAA Coach of the Year and also a finalist for Division II Coach of the Year at the national level.

In addition to her impact in coaching, Colson also continues to contribute to the Southern California community outside of basketball. In August 2013, she was featured in a story titled "Four Broncos Experience Emotional Journey to Africa" after traveling to Rwanda and Uganda.

For new Bronco student-athletes and fans, an introduction to Colson's achievements could start in a few different ways. One could point you toward the CPP record book, where the 2011 graduate is featured across almost every statistical leaderboard.

Another possible introduction would be hearing the story of the 2010-11 Broncos' women's basketball squad, which included Colson as the leading scorer among a "team-first" group of players that captured the NCAA Division II West Region title in front of their home crowd at Kellogg Gym.

Through Colson's four-year career as a Bronco, she totaled 1,931 points to rank fourth all-time in program history. She also set a new CPP record in free throws made for a career with 552. Colson became the 31st student-athlete in the history of Broncos' women's basketball to become an All-American. She excelled in the classroom as well, receiving Academic All-American recognition on her way to earning her degree in Accounting.

After graduation, Colson played professional basketball in Iceland and proved to be one of the league's stars with per game averages of 23.5 points and 4.8 steals.
