WALNUT CREEK – Cal Poly Pomona's Matt Prentice was named the California Collegiate Athletic Association's (CCAA) Male Cross Country Runner of the Week for the week of Oct. 5-11, it was announced on Monday.
Prentice, a junior from Lake Arrowhead, finished second at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational on Saturday after recording a time of 31:59.6 in the 10,000-kilometer event. Prentice, who was the top Division II runner in the field, helped the Broncos to the team title.

Aug. 31 -Sept. 6: Joey Nunes (Cal State Stanislaus); Sept. 7-13: Jimmy Elam (Chico State); Sept. 14-20: #Jersain Torres# (Cal Poly Pomona); Sept. 21-27: Jimmy Elam (Chico State); Sept. 28-Oct.4: Michael Wickman (Chico State); Oct. 5-11: Matt Prentice (Cal Poly Pomona).
