Reyana Colson (Compton) scored a game-high 20 points and sophomore
Megan Ford (Newhall) earned a double-double as Cal Poly Pomona defeated Cal State Stanislaus for the 13th straight time with its 58-52 victory Saturday afternoon.
The Broncos, now 5-2 overall and 2-1 in the CCAA, faces Chico State on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 12:30 p.m.
Cal Poly Pomona took control with a 15-0 run midway through the second half and earned the win hitting five of six free throws down the stretch.
Colson reached double digits for the 32nd straight game and the 54th time in her 60 career games. Ford, despite shooting 6-of-19 from the floor, scored 13 points with a season-high 12 rebounds.

Stephisha Walton (Vallejo) pulled down 12 rebounds.
Trailing 33-31 with 14:39 remaining in the game, Broncos junior guard La'kenya Simon-West (La Mesa) opened the run with a jumper. Free throws from Colson and two straight layups from Ford put CPP ahead 39-33 with 11:24.
Colson hit a 3-pointer and added two more free throws and junior reserve
Ebony White (Los Angeles) finished the run with a jump shot and CPP was in control 46-33 with 9:11 left.
That run may have taken a bit out of the Broncos as the Warriors shook it off with a 13-3 run of their own to get back into the game. Christin Gowan wrapped up the run with a 3-pointer with 1:55 left and CPP clung to a 49-46 lead.
Each team traded a field goal before CPP wrapped up the game. Ford hit a jumper with 46 seconds left, lifting CPP ahead 53-48. Colson and White combined to hit 5-of-6 from the line down the stretch for the win.
Alishea Kelley led the Warriors with 18 points off the bench. She also had three assists, four blocks and four steals in 30 minutes. Katie Busi scored 17 and Samantha Bertomen 10.
BRONCO NOTES: Colson has scored 899 points in her 60-game career, an average of 14.9 points/game… Coach Scott Davis is 5-0 against Cal State Stanislaus in his three-plus years at the helm… The Broncos struggled from the field, hitting 19-of-68 (27.9 percent)… They stood out at the line, however, hitting 18-of-25, while the Warriors hit just six-of-seven… The Broncos pulled down a season-best 53 rebounds.
