LA JOLLA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona women's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 decision Saturday on the road at UC San Diego.
The Broncos fall to 6-10 overall and 4-7 within the California Collegiate Athletic Association, while the Tritons improve to 8-7 overall and 5-6 in league play.

In the opening frame, the Broncos faced an 11-7 deficit early. CPP took off on a 7-0 run at that point, with junior Kristin McNeese registering four kills during that stretch. McNeese ended the night with a team-high 12 kills, while also contributing 11 digs.
The Broncos held the Tritons to a hitting percentage of .106 in the opening set but UCSD rebounded with a .252 clip the rest of the way. Katie Condon led the Tritons with 19 kills on the evening.
Freshman setter Katie Colin collected 25 assists for the Broncos, while sophomore Kelly Bonja led CPP in digs with 19.
The loss snaps the Broncos' two-match winning streak, after the team knocked off Chico State last weekend and Cal State East Bay on Friday. CPP will look to bounce back next weekend when it wraps up the four-match road swing at Cal State Monterey Bay and San Francisco State.
