WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Luis Gonzalez of the Cal Poly Pomona men's soccer team was featured on the All-California Collegiate Athletic Association First Team, conference officials announced Wednesday.

Gonzalez put together a tremendous 2010 campaign for the Broncos, as the junior collected 12 goals and nine assists to lead the conference in points (33). CPP ended its season at 10-7-1 overall and 8-7-1 in CCAA play, narrowly missing the league's postseason tournament.

After selection as the 2009 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Player of the Year at the junior college level, Gonzalez transferred to join the Broncos' squad.

The Long Beach, Calif., native has enjoyed plenty of success in leading the CPP attack, with the most impressive highlight coming in the team's final home match of the season on Oct. 24 against Cal State East Bay. On that day, Gonzalez set a new CCAA single-game points record with 10, as he registered four goals and two assists.

After that performance, he earned selection as the player of the week for the conference and also for ESPN Los Angeles. The four scores in that contest also matched teammate Tyler Reinhart's single-game league record for that stat.

Tanner Olinger, Obi Agwu and Jose Godinez highlighted a group of six Cal State San Bernardino players that were honored as all-conference in 2010. Other top honorees were Chico State forward Ferid Celosmanovic (Most Valuable Offensive Player and Newcomer of the Year), Jared Kukura of UC San Diego (Most Valuable Defensive Player), Sonoma State forward Taylor Varnadore (Freshman of the Year) and Noah Kooiman of CSUSB (Coach of the Year).
