POMONA -- The Cal Poly Pomona men's tennis team is playing at its best, winning its third match in its last four with an 8-1 win over Division III Amherst (Mass.) on Saturday.
The Broncos (4-7) took control by sweeping doubles.
Salvador Romero and
Kevin Singer outlast their opponent 9-8 at No. 1, while
Josh Lau and
Keith Boggero made quick work at No. 2, winning 8-0.
Robby Dabbs and
Shane McNulty rolled to an 8-3 win at No. 3.
Dabbs picked up his second win on the day at No. 1 singles and he was joined by double winners -- Lau (No. 2), Romero (No. 3), Singer (No. 4) and McNulty at No. 5.
The Broncos are off until Friday when they play host to Western New Mexico on Friday.
