POMONA -- Senior right-hander Joshua Krist was drafted in the 39th Round by the Seattle Mariners on Wednesday in Major League Baseball's 2010 Draft.

Krist completed his CPP career last month and became its single-season saves leader with seven. He finished the season with a 3-2 record and 3.68 ERA. He had seven saves in 22 appearances and threw 29 1/3 innings for the Broncos, who were 26-27 overall.

He had 23 strikeouts with 11 walks and allowed only two home runs.

Krist is the second Broncos' pitcher to have been selected in MLB's draft in as many years. RHP Brad Wilson was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks a year ago and has reached as high as Arizona's  Triple A club -- Reno.
