Women's Soccer program signs eight

Broncos begin season Sept. 2 vs. visiting Notre Dame de Namur

POMONA -- Broncos head coach Isabelle Harvey has announced that eight student-athletes have signed national letters of intent to study at and play for Cal Poly Pomona this fall. 

“We're looking forward to having each of our signees step up this fall and make contributions,'' said Harvey, who begins her fifth season. “We have a nice blend of experience and incoming freshmen who look to make us a stronger unit this fall.'' 

The signees are: 

Maria Arroyo (5-3 Junior Forward – Taft Junior College)
Melissa Garcia (5-5 Freshman Midfielder – Academy of Our Lady of Peace HS, San Diego)
Natalia Guevara (5-7 Junior Goalkeeper – San Bernardino Valley College)
Sarah Hanna (5-5 Junior Defender – Mt. SAC)
Kristin Mihara (5-5 Freshman Defender – Bishop Montgomery HS, Torrance)
Michelle Nava (5-2 Junior Defender/Forward – Mt. SAC)
Jennifer Riviera (5-5 Junior Forward – Mt. SAC)
Nushin Tasbihchi (5-7 Freshman Midfielder, Estancia HS, Costa Mesa) 

The Broncos begin the 2010 season when they play host to Notre Dame de Namur on Sept. 2 at Kellogg Field.
