Former Broncos pitcher
Jarett Attard has signed a free agent contract with the Seattle Mariners.
Attard, who completed his career at Cal Poly Pomona this past season with a 3-2 record and 3.45 ERA in 47 innings, has been assigned to the Mariners' Rookie League team in Peoria, Ariz. -- the home of the Mariners' Spring Training facility. He will play in the Arizona League.
Attard joins fellow Bronco
Josh Krist with the Mariners. The Petaluma native was drafted by the Mariners in this month's Major League Baseball draft. He is a member of the Mariners' Single-A Appalachian League affiliate in Pulaski, Va.
