SANTA BARBARA -- Cal Poly Pomona freshman RHP Erick Ruvalcaba has been named to the California Collegiate League All-Star team, the league announced.

The game is scheduled to be played at 7:00 p.m., July 14th at the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy in Compton. The game will be telecast on Fox Sports West.

Ruvalcaba completed his freshman season this past spring for hte Broncos. The Whittier native threw 34.1 innings and finished with a 6.82 ERA. He was winless in five decisions.

Ruvalcaba is scheduled to pitch the sixth inning for the CCL Nationals. He is spending his summer playing for the UYA team.

The UYA is located at El Camino College, 901 East Artesia Blvd in Compton -- located just north of the 91 Freeway.
