TURLOCK
-- Senior Tyler Reinhart knows full well about the ups and downs since he donned the Broncos uniform for the first time three years ago.

On Sunday, the Fresno native earned his first goal of the year in overtime and pushed CPP to a 3-2 OT victory over previously unbeaten Cal State Stanislaus in CCAA soccer.

The Broncos snapped their two-game losing streak and improved to 4-2 overall and 2-2 in the CCAA heading into a big week of soccer when they play host to No. 1 Cal State Los Angeles (Friday) and perennial national contender Cal State Dominguez  Hills on  Sunday.

"Tyler picked a pretty good time to have a break-out game,'' said head coach Lance Thompson, whose team split a northern road trip for the second straight week. "He had a hand on each goal, and for him to get the game-winner when we needed someone to come through is big.''

Reinhart's goal is his 16th in his career and ranks sixth all-time. His assists puts him fifth all-time with 13 and his career points (45) rank him fifth.

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, CPP got on the scoreboard in the game's 48th minute. Reinhart set up an opening and fed the ball to the team's leading scorer Luis Gonzalez, who broke away from the pack and tied the game at 1-1.

The two teams were scoreless for the remainder of the half to set-up the golden goal opportunity in the first OT.

Junior Juan Mejia spotted Reinhart, who split two defenders and fired a shot from the far corner that sent the Broncos to hysterics.

"Today was a great college soccer game, because I thought both teams played extremely well,'' Thompson said. "This was a big win for us. They play tough at home and to spend the last two weekends on trips up north and go 2-2 is key.''

The Warriors dropped to 3-1-2, 2-1-1.
