The Broncos went 44.1 percent from the field and shot even better (52.9) from three-point range while going 9-for-17 beyond the arc. Colson, Semenero, Simon West and #J.J. Judge# netted two three-pointers each.
CSUSB jumped out to a 7-0 lead to start the contest and the visitors held their advantage until the midway point of the half, when Colson dropped in a layup to even the score at 15-15. Moments before that, the senior guard from Compton, Calif., sunk a three-pointer to land her exactly at 1,500 points for her remarkable Bronco career.
A Colson layup at the 8:13 mark gave CPP its first lead of the contest and the hosts would build on that margin for the remainder of the period. The Broncos pushed it as high as nine points after free throws from Ford but a late CSUSB run cut the lead to 35-33 at halftime in favor of CPP.
The Broncos performed admirably at the strike, going 20-for-27 (74.1 percent), as compared to a 9-for-15 outing for the Coyotes. Ford knocked down seven, Colson added six and

Charlene Popoff dropped in a layup to tie the game, 57-57. That started a 12-0 spurt for CPP, with four different Bronco player scoring and three-pointers from Semenero and Simon West included.
The Broncos maintained that lead for much of the remainder, thanks in part to nine-straight conversions at the free throw line between the 5:58 and 0:48 marks.
