POMONA, Calif. - Behind a career night from Charlene Popoff and yet another double-double performance by Megan Ford, the 12th-ranked Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team rolled to an 81-56 win over Cal State Stanislaus Thursday.

It marked the first home game for the Broncos since March 14 when CPP defeated Grand Canyon to capture the 2011 West Region title. On this Thursday's matchup with the Warriors of CSUS, four Broncos tallied double figures.

Popoff set a career high in points with 20 while also adding 12 rebounds. Ford finished with 13 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high five assists. Joining Popoff and Ford with double-digit scoring performances were Ariel Marsh at 12 and Sarah Semenero at 10.

Although the Warriors managed to stake a 7-4 advantage through the first four and a half minutes of Thursday's game, the Broncos' got going soon after that. A three-point play from CPP freshman Lauren Goecke off a layup and free throw started an impressive 16-0 run for the host Broncos.

The scoring drought for CSUS over that span lasted five minutes and CPP took advantage. The final bucket to cap it all off for the Broncos was a three-pointer for Marsh, who ended up netting her first career double-digit point performance. The CPP first-half lead topped out at 18 and settled at 40-26 going into halftime.

The Broncos didn't let up in the second period, with Goecke sinking a trey to open up the scoring. As a team, CPP shot 48.4 percent from the floor while holding the Warriors to a 30-percent mark. With a layup from Ford with 7:28 to play in regulation, the Broncos' lead bounced to its game-high level of 27.

In the second half, Lisha Elsenbach, Rachel Hatch and Shelby Kaenel recorded their first career points for the CPP squad.

On the game, the Broncos shot particularly well from three-point range and the free throw line with respective marks of 40 percent and 83.3 percent.

Up next for CPP will be a 5:30 p.m. showdown on Saturday against Chico State at Kellogg Gym.
