POMONA, Calif. - A consistently strong defender,
Liam Hall is just as steady in the classroom.
A senior from Fresno, Hall earned a spot on the Academic All-District Team after maintaining a 3.81 grade point average as a Political Science major. College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) officials made the All-District Team announcement late last week.
To be nominated for the CoSIDA Academic All-District program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore with a 3.30 cumulative GPA and starter or significant reserve for his team.
Hall played a key role in the Broncos' defense limiting opponents to 18 goals through the 17 matches in 2012. He also helped senior goalkeeper
Kris Minton set a new single-season program record for goals against average with a 0.89 mark.
Through the 2012 campaign, Hall ranked fifth on the team in minutes played with 1,268. After transferring from Fresno City College before his junior season, Hall finished with 32 games played as a Bronco.
Academic honors aren't something new for Hall as the senior collected California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic and Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) Academic Achievement accolades during the 2011-12 academic year.
