Box Score | POMONA, Calif. - J.J. Judge found her three-point rhythm early in Thursday's "Pack the Gym" game against Sonoma State and with that quick start giving her teammates and the great crowd a boost, the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team rolled to a 62-48 victory.

"The crowd tonight was awesome," CPP head coach
Danelle Bishop said. "Our team really played off their energy during the second half. As a team, we did a much better job rebounding in the later stages of the game and it showed."
The result extends the Broncos' win streak to five games and CPP will now turn its attention to San Francisco State, a squad that'll visit Kellogg Gym for a 5:30 p.m. matchup Saturday.
Judge finished Thursday's contest with her second career double-double performance after totaling 18 points and 11 rebounds. The first of her career came less than two weeks ago in CPP's win over Cal State San Bernardino.
At 8-5 overall and 6-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), the Broncos are just a half game back of the two 6-2 teams tied for second place in the conference standings: Cal State L.A. and UC San Diego.
The spirited Kellogg Gym crowd on Thursday seemed to give the Broncos' defense a tremendous lift as the host squad held Sonoma to a 25-percent shooting performance, which marked the lowest for a CPP opponent this season.
Judge set the tone for the Broncos' offense as she knocked down two three-pointers in the first two minutes of action to put CPP ahead 6-0.
The Broncos never trailed in Thursday's game and forced the Seawolves to commit 16 turnovers, which CPP turned into 20 points on the other end.
SSU trimmed the lead to 25-24 with 3:27 to play in the first half but the Broncos closed the period out on a 8-0 run that featured
Lisha Elsenbach going 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Elsenbach finished the game with eight points and seven rebounds.
After the margin settled back at nine - 39-30 - with 17:18 to play in the second half, CPP started a 12-0 run that stretched nearly nine minutes. A pair of seniors,
Rachel Hatch and
Ashley Boggs, provided key baskets through the final half as they scored six points apiece in the closing 20 minutes.
