Box Score | POMONA, Calif. - In a back and forth game Thursday against UC San Diego, the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team trailed by as many as eight points in the second half.
The Broncos rallied to finish the contest on a 17-5 run to take a thrilling 68-63 win over the Tritons.

Throughout the all-time series - which is now tied 13-13 - the two teams have had their share of battles. Thursday's matchup proved to be no different as 16 lead changes occurred in a physical and hard-fought meeting.
It took a team effort from CPP on the offensive and defensive ends, with 10 players scoring and 10 players collecting at least one steal.
With the result, the Broncos improve to 4-5 overall and 2-3 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) while UCSD falls to 5-7 overall and 3-2 in league play.
J.J. Judge led CPP in scoring with 20 points and also matched her career high in rebounds with nine.
Senior guard
Jennifer Bryant contributed clutch baskets down the stretch and sophomore
Mian Dingle collected nine points and a career-high eight rebounds.
The Broncos totaled 15 second-chance points off 15 offensive rebounds, including three apiece from Judge,
Lauren Goecke and
Rachel Porter.
UCSD pushed out to a six-point lead about midway through the first half and took a 32-31 advantage into intermission.
Judge knocked down a three-pointer on the opening possession of the second period but the Tritons' Daisy Feder responded with a trey of her own and the visitors held the momentum and the lead up until the 4:25 mark.
After a
Jade Khuri three-point play off a layup and free throw trimmed the margin to four, a pair of Judge free throws eventually evened the score at 58-58. Bryant then dropped in a three-pointer to give CPP an edge that wouldn't be relinquished.
The Broncos overcame struggles at the charity stripe, where they shot 58.8 percent. UCSD didn't fare much better, going 15-for-25 for a 60-percent mark. CPP senior
Ashley Boggs turned in a stellar performance Thursday in terms of assists as she tallied a season-high five.
The Broncos will return to action Saturday with a 5:30 p.m. home game against Cal State San Bernardino. The Coyotes secured a 42-41 win at Humboldt State Thursday to improve to 5-4 overall and 3-2 in CCAA action.
