Senior guard Mitchel Anderson led the way for CPP Thursday as he recorded another double-double performance with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Joining Anderson in double figures were Barry Bell with 12 points, Bryce Brady with 11 and DeRonn Scott with 10 of his own.

Up next, the Broncos will host Chico State Saturday at Kellogg Gym for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff. The fifth-place Wildcats fell at Humboldt State Thursday, 80-73.

To start the game against the Warriors Thursday, the Broncos held a slim 13-11 lead roughly nine minutes into the action.

CPP then used a 9-0 run to push the margin into double digits as Bell, Brady and Jordan Faison provided key baskets in that stretch.

Anderson drained back-to-back three-pointers later in the half and the Broncos' advantage didn't fall back into single digits for the final 23 and a half minutes of play.

Each of CPP's five starters collected three assists apiece as the host squad made it a team effort from start to finish.

Just as they did in the first half, the Broncos closed out the second period on a terrific run as well. Holding a 57-45 edge at the 5:19 mark, CPP finished the contest on a 12-0 tear.

The Kellogg Gym crowd kept the noise level up all night and a big highlight for the Bronco fans came at the 4:13 mark when Faison created a steal, which led to an Anderson dunk on the other end off a nice fastbreak assist by Bell.

Scott starred defensively as he recorded four steals to match his career high in that statistic. As a team, the Broncos committed just seven turnovers while forcing 17 from the visiting Warriors' squad.
