WALNUT CREEK, Calif. – The 2013-14 California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) All-Academic team features 45 Cal Poly Pomona student-athletes, conference officials announced Tuesday.

All 10 of CPP teams had student-athletes that were featured on the All-Academic list, and women's track and field produced the most award winners with 11. This stands as the seventh year in a row that 40 or more Broncos have been recognized for the award.

CPP Male Co-Athlete of the Year, Justin Ellerbee, of men's track and field, was awarded with the CCAA All-Academic honor for the third time in his Broncos tenure. Toward the end of the 2013-14 campaign, Ellerbee earned selection as a D-II All-American with a fifth-place performance in the pole vault and also became an Academic All-American as well.

Jenny McCarthy of women's cross country and track and field, winner of CPP's Senior Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year this past academic year, also locked up her CCAA All-Academic Team award. For McCarthy, it marked the second-consecutive year she received the honor.

Bryce Brady, a former men's basketball student-athlete and 2014 graduate, received CCAA All-Academic recognition for the third-consecutive year. Earlier in the summer, Brady was accepted into the California Executive Fellowship program and featured on BroncoAthletics.com. Another three-time CCAA All-Academic honoree is Alison Sauve, a senior on the women's soccer team who also serves as the Bronco Athletic Association (BAA) President.

In order to be eligible for CCAA All-Academic honors, student-athletes must compete in one of the 12 CCAA-sponsored sports and be a varsity student-athlete. They must also earn a grade point average of 3.40 or higher in a minimum of 36 quarter units completed in the 2013-14 academic year.
