POMONA, Calif. - With a ninth-place finish from Cal Poly Pomona men's cross country at the National Championships in Missouri, the Broncos' athletic department has moved up to No. 23 in the first 2015-16 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings.
The next release of the standings will be on Dec. 10 after the men's and women's soccer seasons have completed. The CPP men's soccer team is playing on Thursday at 6 p.m. Pacific in the D-II Final Four, which will take place in Pensacola, Fla.
Last year, Cal Poly Pomona Intercollegiate Athletics placed 40th in the Division II Directors' Cup final standings. Through 2014-15, CPP collected 371.5 Director's Cup points for the largest total in program history. It also marked the Broncos' best overall finish since 2001-02, when CPP placed 34th with 265.5 points.
