In the second inning, Bernardy singled to right center to bring Pitts home for CPP's first run in the game. The next couple innings remained scoreless until a fourth inning homerun by Steven Coe, the Tritons' catcher evened up the score at 1-1.
The fifth inning came with Stratton lining up the middle to advance Bernardy and score Kline. Keeping things alive for the Green and Gold, Kline singled past a diving short stop to score Pitts in the seventh for CPP's third and final run.
