POMONA, Calif. – The Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team has announced their first recruit for the 2017 class in Mt. San Jacinto College product Crystal Malveaux.
Malveaux, a native of Lake Elsinore, Calif., is currently finishing up her second season with the Eagles who have become one of the top teams in the state and hold a record of 18-2 on the season.
She earned two tournament MVPs and was named a Second Team All-Conference honoree in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference.
"We could not be more excited to add such a dynamic player such as Crystal to our program," said head coach
Danelle Bishop. "She is a long guard that can play multiple positions on the floor, has a knack for getting to the basket, sees the floor well, and also rebounds at a high level. Crystal will be a tremendous addition to our Bronco Family."
As a freshman, Malveaux started all 32 of MSJC's games at point guard, averaging seven points, four rebounds, and 5.9 assists per game.
Malveaux graduated from Elsinore High School where she was named league MVP her senior year.
