Last Week: The Broncos (9-2, 6-1 CCAA) won both of their games last week, dominating Cal State Monterey Bay 72-57 and beating Cal State East Bay 59-51.
William Christmas led the way against Monterey Bay with 14 points and
Quentin Taylor scored 13 points against East Bay.
By the Numbers: Jordan Ogundiran leads the team in scoring, averaging 16.5 points a game which ranks him fourth in the CCAA. Christmas leads the team in rebounding with 7.2 rebounds a game which ranks him fifth in the CCAA. He is also second on the team in scoring averaging 14.5 points a game which ranks him ninth in the conference. The Broncos are the number one scoring defense in the conference, holding teams to an average of 60.1 points a game. As a team, they are shooting 42 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point range. Last year, the Broncos lost
to their first game on the road to the Gators 79-63 and beat them at home 65-59. The Broncos failed to beat the Seawolves twice in three times including a loss that knocked them out of the CCAA tournament.
Gator Report: San Francisco (7-6, 4-4 CCAA) hopes to snap a two-game losing streak against the Broncos. The Gators average 78.8 points a game which ranks them second in the CCAA. However, they allow the most points per game in the conference, allowing opposing offenses to average 77.8 points a game. Warren Jackson leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.2 points a game. The Gator offense will need to continue its dominance against a stingy Bronco defense for a chance to win.
Seawolves Report: Sonoma (4-6, 2-4 CCAA) comes in having lost four of their last five games and looks to turn their season around against the Broncos. The Seawolves offense is the worst in the conference, averaging 69.6 points a game which doesn't bode well against the best defense in the CCAA. The defense holds opposing teams to an average of 70.8 points a game. Armani Nicolis leads them in scoring, averaging 15.6 points a game which ranks him seventh in the conference.
