KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Cal Poly Pomona junior Taylor Scott captured First Team honors while seniors Ambria Pogue and Cassidy Overstreet and sophomore Sydney Williams earned Second Team accolades, highlighting Monday's announcement of the NCAA Division II United Soccer Coaches Women's All-West Region Team.

Scott, a native of Santa Clarita, led the CCAA in goals (12), points (29) and game-winning goals (7) this season.  Her seven game-winners rank ninth in all of Division II in 2019.  Pogue from Simi Valley, was the team's second-leading scorer this season with four goals, adding three assists in 21 matches. 

Overstreet (Glendora, Calif.) and Williams (Inglewood, Calif.) made up a defense that set a new record for lowest goals against average for a season, posting a 0.55 GAA this year, besting the previous record of 0.58 set back in 2001.  Williams, who allowed just 10 goals in 19 games, also set the record for lowest individual goals against average for a season with a 0.52 GAA, topping the 2001 record of 0.57 set by Katie Kreps.

The United Soccer Coaches All-Region Teams are selected through voting by member coaches in those respective divisions. Student-athletes earning First Team All-Region honors are now eligible to earn All-America status.
