2019 NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship Interactive Bracket

INDIANAPOLIS -- For the first time since the 2014-15 season, the Cal Poly Pomona women's basketball team has qualified for the NCAA Division II Women's Basketball Championship Tournament!  With a 25-5 overall record, the Broncos have earned an at-large bid and will be the No. 5 seed in the West Region, facing off against No. 4 seed Azusa Pacific in the West Region quarterfinal scheduled for Friday at RIMAC Arena in La Jolla.  Game time Friday is set for 7:30 pm.

UC San Diego (29-0) earned the No. 1 seed in the West and will host the West Regional tournament in La Jolla as Northwest Nazarene (28-2) snatched the No. 2 seed, Alaska Anchorage (28-2) is the No. 3 seed followed by APU at No. 4 and CPP at No. 5.  The No. 6 seed goes to Hawaii Pacific (23-8), No. 7 is Humboldt State (19-7) and Dominican (21-6) is No. 8.

RIMAC Arena on the campus of UC San Diego in La Jolla, Calif., will serve as the host site of the eight-team regional, beginning with four games on Friday in quarterfinal action.  Two semifinal games will be held on Saturday (5:00 pm and 7:30 pm) and the West Regional Championship will be played Monday night at 7:00 pm. The winner of the West Regional will advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight in Columbus, Ohio on March 26-29.

Cal Poly Pomona will be making its 26th appearance in the NCAA Tournament, and the fifth appearance under the leadership of ninth-year head coach Danelle Bishop.  As a program, the Broncos have five National Championships under their belt, tied for the most all-time in NCAA Division II Women's Basketball history.  The last national titles for CPP women's basketball came in back-to-back seasons in 2000-01 and again in 2001-02.
