SAN MARCOS, Calif. -- The Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team suffered a three set sweep at the hands of Cal State San Marcos (25-21, 25-23, 25-20) on Saturday evening in San Marcos.
With the loss, the Broncos fell to 4-7 overall and 2-2 in the CCAA. The Cougars rise to 8-5, 2-2 CCAA.
CPP never found its offensive rhythm in the match, posting just a .132 hitting percentage, compared to CSUSM's .306.Â
Ally Wilder led the Broncos with eight kills while
Daisy Duke had six. Defensively, both
Brynn Sherbert and
Kira Zimmerman had eight digs while Duke and
Jane Woodward each had three blocks.
Cal Poly Pomona returns home Tuesday to face the No. 1 team in the country, Cal State San Bernardino. First serve from Kellogg Arena is set for 7:00 pm.
