Introducing The New BroncCast Podcast

9/2/2020 8:29:00 AM

POMONA -- The Cal Poly Pomona Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is set to introduce The BroncCast, a new weekly podcast that will feature Broncos coaches, student-athletes, department staff members and even some outside guests to talk anything from sports, academics, life in general, and issues facing our world today.

Hosted by Assistant Athletics Director for Communications Tyler Lobe, The BroncCast is available at www.broncoathletics.com/podcasts, and will also soon be available on all major podcast platforms, including Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, iHeartRadio and TuneIn.

The first-ever episode of The BroncCast features head coach Jay Mason, senior Taylor Scott and junior Sydney Williams of the CPP women's soccer team, talking about the team's success in 2019, the unprecedented times we are in today, followed by some classic 'Rapid Fire' questions to wrap it all up.

"I'm really excited about this new feature that will enable family, friends, and fans of Cal Poly Pomona athletics to get to know members of our department in a more personal way," Lobe said.  "My goal is to have fun with this podcast, and I hope that is evident in the first episode we recorded with Coach Mason, Taylor (Scott) and Sydney (Williams).  We have so many incredible coaches and student-athletes here at CPP, and since we aren't playing games this fall, this is the perfect alternative in highlighting their accomplishments that go beyond them just playing -- or coaching -- their respective sport."

New episodes of The BroncCast will be released every week throughout the Fall Semester with the idea of continuing the podcast into the spring and beyond.
