LEXINGTON, Ky. -- 
Cal Poly Pomona sophomore opposite side hitter Daisy Duke and senior setter Kira Zimmerman were selected to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II All-America Team, it was announced by the organization Tuesday.  Duke earned a Third Team nod while Zimmerman was an Honorable Mention.

Duke, an All-CCAA and All-West Region First Team selection this season, finished the year with the third-highest hitting percentage in the CCAA this season at .360, which is the third-highest single-season hitting percentage in CPP volleyball history.  With a .318 career hitting percentage, Duke currently has the second-highest clip in the history of CPP volleyball.  A three-time CCAA Player of the Week award winner this season, she led the team with 333 kills (3.4 kills/set).  This is Duke's first All-America award.

Zimmerman, the 2021 CCAA Setter of the Year, finished second in the conference with 10.36 assists and 0.49 service aces per set. Her passing had the Broncos finish atop the CCAA and ranked fourth in the country with a .280 hitting percentage. Zimmerman had 11 matches with 40 or more assists, including four straight performances with 50 or more assists late in the season.  She was second in the CCAA with 49 service aces.  Handing out 2,980 career assists, Zimmerman ends her career fifth all-time in CPP volleyball history in that category.  Zimmerman becomes the sixth CPP volleyball student-athlete to earn All-America honors twice in a career.

Cal Poly Pomona finished the season with a 23-5 record and an appearance in the NCAA Division II Volleyball Championship Tournament for the second time in three seasons.
