AVCA DIVISION II TOP 25 COACHES' POLL
LEXINGTON, Ky. -- After beginning the season with seven straight victories and boasting an undefeated record through non-conference play for the first time since 2005, the Cal Poly Pomona volleyball team has broken into the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll at No. 25 this week, it was announced by the organization Monday.
The Broncos (7-0) head into CCAA action this weekend tied at No. 25 in the national poll with the University of Texas at Tyler. Cal State San Bernardino is the only other CCAA team ranked this week; the Coyotes (5-3) come in at No. 14.
This is the first time CPP has been ranked during the regular season in the national coaches' poll since the Broncos were ranked for eight straight weeks in 2018, starting at No. 25 in week five that season, getting as high as No. 14 in week 10 before finishing at No. 18 in the final poll.
Cal Poly Pomona will head north this weekend to open its conference schedule, beginning with a Friday night contest at Stanislaus State (5:00 pm), followed by a Saturday night tilt at Chico State (7:00 pm). All matches will be live on the
