She also spent time as the Special Events Coordinator and Director of Corporate Sponsorships for the Titans.
"We are excited that Lauren is joining Team Broncos," Swanson said. "With her background as a collegiate student-athlete and her current experiences working in athletic development, Lauren will certainly hit the ground running and will move our program forward."
"I am thrilled to be joining the Bronco family and look forward to working with our student-athletes, coaches, donors, and alumni to advance the department's mission," said Goins.
Prior to her time at Cal State Fullerton, Goins served as development coordinator at the USA Volleyball Foundation in Anaheim for two and a half years, assisting in the organization's fundraising efforts.
From 2010 to 2012, Goins worked as a graduate research assistant and sport event management lecturer at the German Sport University in Cologne, Germany.
Goins was a professional volleyball player in both Germany and the Netherlands from 2005-09.
She received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton in 2005 and went on to obtain her Master of Science in Sport Management from the German Sport University in 2011.
As an undergraduate, she played volleyball at Cal State Fullerton from 2001-04 and was a three-time Big West Conference honorable mention selection.
