Daisy Duke becomes just the second CCAA Player of the Year award winner in CPP volleyball history, and the first since 1992 (Mitsue Tomoyasu). She ranks first in the CCAA in points per set (4.59) and second in hitting percentage (.360) and kills per set (3.98) as an opposite side hitter this season. The junior from Rancho Cucamonga has posted double-digit kills in 20 of 25 matches and has led the Broncos to a Top 25 ranking for nine straight weeks. Her 350 kills this season are the second-most in a single-season for the program since 2008, and her kills per set average of 3.98 is No. 7 on the Broncos' all-time list for a single season.
In addition to earning CCAA Player of the Week honors in four straight weeks earlier this year, Duke collected AVCA Division II National Player of the Week honors after tallying 33 kills, five digs, and five blocks with a hitting percentage of .492 against a pair of CCAA foes for the week of Sept. 26-Oct. 2.
Caitie Mueller combined with Duke in her first season in the green and gold to give Cal Poly Pomona one of the best connections in the region and earn CCAA Newcomer of the Year honors. Mueller ranked second in the CCAA with 10.42 assists per set, and her efficiency allowed the Broncos to rank 12th in NCAA Division II with a .274 hitting percentage. The San Clemente native posted a season-best 55 assists in just four sets against Cal State Monterey Bay, and she had eight double-doubles on the season. Her 844 total assists ranks sixth for a single-season in the program since 2008.
Mueller is the second CPP volleyball student-athlete all-time to earn the conference Newcomer of the Year honor.
Both Duke and Mueller were also All-CCAA First Team selections this season; it is also Duke's second consecutive All-CCAA First Team nod.
Kaitlan Tucker has been the most dominant blocker in the conference this season, leading the CCAA with 1.25 blocks per set. In doing so, the Broncos are second in the nation with 2.64 blocks per set as a team. Her 110 total blocks in 2022 is also the third-most for CPP since 2008. Tucker, a native of Bakersfield, has also been a force on the offensive side of the net, sporting the fourth-highest hitting percentage in the CCAA at .334.
Madison Novak has complemented the efforts of Duke from the other side of the floor as a key to the Broncos' success this season. The Lancaster native is fourth in the CCAA in kills per set (3.21) and seventh in points per set (3.49) as CPP is third in the conference in kills per set at 13.38.
Samantha Campion has been the most steady all-around player for the Broncos this season, contributing on both sides of the ball. With six double-doubles this season, the outside hitter from Aurora, Colo., is the team's third-leading scorer (255.5) with 214 kills, 19 aces and 43 blocks to go along with 265 digs. In fact, she is 13
